Water Wells

Water Well Activities
EVERY DONATION IS A SIP OF WATER

As the International Cooperation and Relief Association (IBS), we continue to drill water wells to address the need for clean water in Bangladesh, one of the poorest countries in Africa and Asia.

In Ethiopia, where clean water is a major problem in rural areas, the wells we have drilled allow people to meet their clean water needs. Every day, thousands of people in need draw water from these wells to sustain their lives.

In Bangladesh, access to clean drinking and usable water is also a major problem, especially in rural areas. The water wells drilled in villages allow hundreds of people to meet their clean water needs every day.

The scarcity of clean water negatively impacts people’s lives, primarily through diseases. In these deprived areas where treatment options are also lacking, the risk of epidemics is also increasing.

In areas without water wells, women and children are forced to spend 8-10 hours a day searching for water, even just to find a container.

Our water wells are put into service within 1-2 months, depending on the conditions in the region.

The maintenance and monitoring of the opened water wells are carried out by our teams in the region and our officials who go to the region.

To date, our association has opened 296 water wells in different parts of the world.

With your donations, we will continue to open new water wells in Ethiopia and Bangladesh.

Sacrificial Donations

Sacrifice Activities
ONE SACRIFICE, A THOUSAND HOLIDAYS

Today, Eid al-Adha celebrations, through the sacrifices made by proxy, create a great example of solidarity in the Islamic world. Muslims in different parts of the world can bring joy to their brothers and sisters in poor countries by giving their proxy, and share the sacrificial meat with them.

Our association, IBS, delivers the sacrificial animals given by proxy to the needy and orphans in the remote corners of Africa during Eid al-Adha, bringing together the benefactors who gave their proxy with their prayers.

The purchase, slaughter, and distribution of the sacrificial animals are carried out under the supervision and control of our association officials.

The reading of the proxy and the slaughter of the sacrificial animal are video recorded and presented to the benefactor, allowing the benefactor to share in the joy of the brothers and sisters to whom they gifted the sacrifice.

The regions where the sacrifices are made are in the rural areas far from the city centers of the poorest and lowest-income countries in the world, and great importance is given to ensuring that the entrusted donation reaches the most needy people.

To date, IBS has delivered sacrificial animal donations from our benefactors to hundreds of thousands of poor and orphaned people in over 40 countries around the world during Eid al-Adha.

Orphanage Activities

Orphan Activities

Orphans are among the most pressing issues in countries in need of aid. Children who lose their mothers or fathers for various reasons are left alone. The poor state of national economies and indifference prevent these children from being protected, leaving orphans without guardians.

IBS, which always prioritizes the sensitivity shown by our national and spiritual values regarding orphans, works on orphan issues in impoverished countries.

Tanzania is a region where life expectancy is short due to malnutrition, epidemics, and diseases caused by contaminated drinking water. Fathers, in particular, die at a young age, resulting in children becoming orphans. In this sense, we can call Ethiopia a land of orphans.

The situation of orphans is even more critical because the region is among those where missionary activities are intensely carried out. The calm and innocent nature of the people is exploited for malicious purposes; children are taken into free care in orphanages established by missionaries, and the region is rapidly being Christianized. According to information we have received from local authorities and the local population, 100,000 orphaned children are kidnapped or disappear for various purposes annually in Tanzania.

Our work regarding orphans will continue to be our top priority, both domestically and internationally.

Ramadan Activities

Our Activities During Ramadan

We place special importance on our Ramadan programs. Ramadan is one of the sacred seasons in which our benefactors can extend a helping hand of compassion to the oppressed and needy in different geographies. Ramadan, the most longed-for month, where the poor are made happy for a whole month through zakat, fitra, fidyah, and sadaqah, becomes a celebration for tens of thousands of needy people thanks to your donations.

Furthermore, we distribute the fidyah donations of our benefactors who cannot fast during Ramadan as meals to the poor and orphans in our soup kitchen. Those who cannot make fidyah donations during Ramadan can fulfill this obligation throughout the year through the ongoing meal service at our soup kitchen.

Zakat and fitra donations are also among the greatest gifts of Ramadan. Fidyah donations are delivered to the poor in cash. Zakat donations are also distributed to the needy and orphans as cash and food aid, depending on their needs.

Educational Studies

Educational Activities
EDUCATION

Since its establishment, IBS has placed great importance on educational activities, recognizing that providing children with a good education is a crucial factor in the development of countries. It continues to increase its support in the field of education every day.

Effective activities are also carried out in African countries in the field of education.

Books by popular authors published in our country have been translated into the local languages of these countries, allowing thousands of Africans to benefit from these books.

Our orphanage also houses a Quran memorization course, which is of great importance to the region. 45 children are receiving training in this course. Because these children come from distant regions, they reside in the boarding facility. Their needs such as food, accommodation, and healthcare are met by our association.

We plan to build a higher education institution where children who have studied and become Quran memorizers in madrasas can receive advanced training to become qualified teachers. In this way, our students who learn the basics and complete their memorization of the Quran will be able to gain proficiency in other Islamic and scientific fields, become experts in their branches, and benefit the people in their regions.

Considering that the literacy rate in rural Tanzania is only 4%, it is clear that more work needs to be done in the field of education.

Soup Kitchen

Soup Kitchen Activities
SOUP KITCHEN

In impoverished countries experiencing food shortages, meeting the need for hot meals in places like natural disaster areas, refugee camps, and orphanages requires a professional effort.

Soup kitchen activities provide a vital service in meeting urgent food needs.

Meeting the need for hot meals is especially important for children attending school. In African countries, millions of children are forced to leave school and work at a young age to earn their daily meals. Poor and orphaned families in villages who cannot meet their daily food needs obtain their meals from our soup kitchen.

With a special program during Ramadan, tens of thousands of people are provided with two meals a day, iftar and sahur, throughout the month.

Soup kitchen activities also serve as a great charitable means for philanthropists to provide meals to the poor and orphans whenever they wish.

Our association continues its work to maintain our existing soup kitchen and establish new soup kitchens in new regions.
